Hello! :) Welcome to 魂の旋律 (Tamashii no Senritsu), a community of Japanese-English translations and subbed videos of Arashi, figure skating and skaters, and (wherever applicable) a combination of the two! My name's Adette, and I am the sole translator and maintainer of the community. You can find more about me here!
I created this community to serve as a repository for all my translated works, and I would want to share the wonders of Arashi and figure skating with other people. Thus, I do not want to make it difficult for fans to gain access to the community.
( Rules and How to Join )
As I run this community on my own and also have a full-time job, processing membership may take a while depending on the influx of requests so please be patient. For any questions, please leave a private message as I would want the comments for this post to be solely for community applications.
Again, thank you for your interest in joining this community. Let's go have some fun!

JMovie Magazine 2019 vol.50 - Shigeoka Daiki Interview
Happy Birthday to my favorite member in Johnny's WEST, Shigeoka Daiki!!!
I have decided to finally finish and share this translation of his interview with J Movie Magazine from more than a year ago. This was to promote the NHK Friday night drama "This Is Not A Business Expense!" (Japanese title: これは経費で落ちません!) where he acted alongside Tabe Mikako. As such, all ages and months mentioned are accurate as of the magazine's publication in 2019.

In this interview, he talks about taking on the role of Yamada Taiyou, interacting with fellow actors on set, and his motto when it comes to acting.
Many thanks to tsunbaka_trash@twitter for helping me on this!

Accessing Images Exclusive to Johnny's Family Club (JFC) Members
As of January 2018, Johnny's has allowed their talents to include pictures with their faces in Johnny's Web (J-Web) entries. However, this functionality is only available to J-Web subscribers who are also members of Johnny’s Family Club (JFC) for that specific talent/group. Subscribers who are not JFC members will not have access to see those photos.

Subscribing to the Japanese Version of Johnny’s Web
Johnny’s Web (J-Web) currently offers translations in four other languages - English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. However, that service will end by February 2019 and J-Web will only be available in Japanese, its original language. I hope that this guide will be of help to fans who want to gain access to the Japanese version of J-Web but are unsure on how to go about it.
As this tutorial will be made available to the public, please feel free to share the link to the entry. However, please do not copy-paste this in another entry or document and credit as your own. Translating the instructions to other languages is also not allowed.
This tutorial is a very detailed one with (hopefully) clear screenshots so please bear with the length. It also has two supplementary entries:
Many thanks to
kurisucchi for the post-registration survey screenshots, as well as the screenshot for the registration confirmation email!

Having a J-Web subscription gives the user access to the blog entries of all Johnny’s idols. However, there are still content that is exclusive to JFC members. Instructions to access fanclub-exclusive pictures are located here.
Another entry contains FAQs regarding the service, which you can access here.

[Figure Skating] Kevin Reynolds - Figure Skating Life Vol. 9 (March 2017)
This was my first ever article translation, and it was requested by a friend who bought the magazine. I've liked Kevin Reynolds prior to this translation, and the article made me appreciate him a lot more. It just makes me sad that this season will be his last in the competitive circuit, but I'm hoping he goes professional and will perform in ice shows in the future.
The article is mostly written in Kevin’s words, although phrases in parentheses are added by the article writer. Those with T/N indicate my own notes. Please read the longer translator’s notes at the end of the article as well.
